Best Wishes Dove Card

Hello and Happy Friday!

Today I wanted to share my Anniversary card that I created using the new Peace Dove die from the Cheery Lynn Designs July 15th release!

I started with a layered base from pattern paper and cardstock. I added stitching along the edges of the layers with white thread. Next, I die cut the Royal Scandinavian Doily from black Damask pattern paper.

The Peace Dove was cut from Music note pattern paper. There is so much detail in this Dove, from the feathers on the wings to the delicate detail on the Doves body. So Elegant! I also added two gold circles for rings.

My black embossed sentiment was stamped on to the Royal Scandinavian Tag die cut from white pattern paper.

The Cherry Blossom flower was cut from white pattern paper. I die cut the smallest layer twice and layered them on top of each other. I added a center in gold cardstock from the Embellishment #2 and added a rhinestone to the center. I used the leaf from the Rose and Leaves set and pieces from a Fanciful Flourish tucked into the sides.

Dies used:

Royal Scandinavian Doily (Set of 2)

Abundant Blessings Card

Hello, welcome back! I have a rich, earthy, layered card to share. I hope you like it!

So lets jump right into the step I used to create this card.

I first cut three layers of cardstock, one at 4 1/2 inches x 5 3/4 inches one 4 1/4 inches x 5 1/2 inches, and one at 4 1/8 inches x 5 3/8 inches. I distressed and inked the edges of the largest, embossed both of the other two with the Wood Grain/Leaves embossing plate using the leaves side. I inked them both with brown ink (one a darker shade). I then used two dies from the Pierced Stacker #4 and cut the smaller one out from the lighter brown Leaf embossed cardstock. Placing the die in the center so I could still use the outside (discarded/negative) as a card matte. I repeated with the larger Pierced Stacker #4 die and the darker brown carstock.

I glues all three mattes together. Then cut the Fall Leaf Doily out twice. I inked with a blend of green shades and placed one Fall Leaf Doily down on my card front and fussy cut the leaves out of the second and placed them aside.

I cut the Thankful Harvest Cornucopia out twice also. One I inked with a bronze brown and the other I inked each piece with different colours according to the type of vegetable/fruit. Cut out & pasted the vegetable/fruit to the bronze brown die cut and used glossy accents to enhance the detailed cuts outs.

I placed the finished Thankful Harvest Cornucopia, my Pierced Banner sentiment and the cut leaves to my card front.

In the picture below, you are able to see the multiple layers that the card has. These layers create a rich and dimensional card without it being to heavy.

Peace Love Card

Hello Everyone!

I hope you all checked out Wednesdays post of the Cheery Lynn Designs July New Release! Loads of awesome detailed designed dies to choose from.

For this weeks card, I used the New Release Lucy the Lamb die as my focal point. I cut her out of a thin sheet of fun foam. The die is created with so many details that they show up wonderfully.

I also used the New release Grass Border 2 die. I cut and layered the grass three times and placed Lucy the Lamb on top.

My Floral arrangement was create using the Frangipani with Leaves and the Shasta Daisy Strip Die. To create my crinkle flower, start by inking each Frangipani petal with your colour of choice and then spritz with water. I then crinkled each petal in a ball and set aside to dry. I then carefully unwrinkled and glued together to create the flower. I finished them off by adding white stamens to the center.

To celebrate the New Release, I have created a Christmas Card. I have used this Cute Reindeer called Reindeer Fun
.

I have created my card base from pattern paper using the A2 Frames Rectangular Classic die set and added an outside strip of the largest Deutschland Boutique Stacker die. I cut out the Fleur De Lis Doily from the same green pattern paper as the matted base. I layered two circle die cuts and the Joy to the World sentiment from the Joy to the World Wreath set on top.

I really like how easy it was to layer the Reindeer. I die cut it out twice and trimmed the nose, collar. and harness.I used red glitter glue and rhinestones to add sparkle!

Grandpa Card

Hello!

Thank you so much for joining me! I wanted to share with you my Grandpa Card which I created with a simplistic masculine theme in mind.

To create this card, I have cut a script pattern paper and Kraft cardstock for my layered base. I then cut the Japanese Lace and Flourish Frame die out of shimmer brown cardstock. I sewn with a needle, back and forth, from each eyelet hole with gold metallic thread.

The large Horizon Fishtail Banner was cut from shimmer brown cardstock and layered to the center of the card. I wanted to create a layered arrangement but decided against my 'go-to' flowers, Cheery Lynns Buttons3 die was the perfect choice! A large variety to choose from and love the layered effect. I added my sentiment and a little more metallic thread to finish it off!

Dies used:

Horizon Fishtail Banners (3 Dies) - DL278

Believe Card

Hello!

This weeks card inspiration came from my stamped sentiment. I sometimes need a little reminder once in a while!

As you might have noticed on my previous cards, I love Cheery Lynns banners. I saw the Tags 4 in my Cheery Lynn Die book and thought I would give them a try instead, to create a flag look. I am happy with the results!

I have also used one die from the Royal Scandinavian Border Set to cut into the burgundy paper strip border. I layered the border on top of black cardstock to add depth.

On top of my stamped embossed sentiment, I have added a Page Tab. I love this set for card making, mini albums, journals, and page layouts.

My flower was created using Judy's BloomsDandelions, and the Leafy Flourish die. Inked and finished off with a black rhinestone for the center.

Dies Used:

Judy's Blooms - C184
